It's that time of year again- tomorrow is Mardi Gras!! I have added a couple of new free coloring pages to the Mardi Gras coloring pages for you to enjoy.
We were really bummed that we didn't get to see the great Mid-City parade of Endemyion this year but the weather was just too bad for them to roll. So, we're banking our Mardi Gras fun on the Metairie parades tomorrow on Veterans. These parades are very family-friendly and have great throws. My daughter has been practicing her "Throw me something Mister" lines and has alreay tried to get into the king cake we bought.
If you ever get a chance, come down to New Orleans for the best Mardi Gras experiene, bar none!
Coloring pages of animals are some of the most popular on this site. I have decided to take my dog coloring pages to the next stage by adding specific pages for particular dog breeds. You can use these to educate your kids on the different breeds of dogs, particularly when they get tired of coloring the same cartoon dogs over and over. While some of the pages may be cartoon dogs, we will do our best to find realistic coloring pages of dogs as well.
The first dog we'll feature is the Afghan Hound in these Afghan Hound dog coloring pages.
The Afghan Hound is considered one of the oldest known breeds. It is an ancient breed derived from Middle Eastern sighthounds with roots that date back to ancient Egypt. The Afghan hound was used by nomadic tribes as a coursing hound to capture hare and gazelle for food. The Afghan Hound is well known even today of having an acute prey drive. The Kings of Afghanistan from years ago would breed a kennel of these hounds with these purposes in mind alone.
This project of adding as many dog breeds as possible may take awhile. Please add your comments as to which dog breeds you would like to see and we will focus on those first.
Get your kids ready for some outdoor serenading with these Christmas coloring pages of carolers.
Christmas caroling is a wonderful way to spend a December evening. Christmas caroling is a holiday tradition particularly suited for children. Children love to sing, and they especially love to belt out Christmas carols!
In Greece, there are actually three "official" caroling days. The custom is that children go from house to house singing the carol, with the accompaniment of a triangle, and residents of the houses give them a small amount of money.
